Aquamarine and Solar Quartz sterling necklace
Solar Quartz is a natural agatized quartz that is sliced from stalactites in clear, white or gray, with mossy inclusions. As with all quartz it is an energy enhancer, connecting to spirit and harmony.
Solar Quartz is said to bring emotional strength and uplifting with great power and energy.
The stone at the center is a gorgeous blue solar quartz set with sterling overlay. Natural and color treated faceted aquamarine rounds are wire wrapped with small sterling chain accents. This piece fastens in the front with a gorgeous vintage sterling toggle clasp. The necklace measures 17 inches in length.
To honor a beloved animal – they are coy, they are sly, cunning, they are adorable. And now they shine bright like a diamond. Emerald and White rhinestone gold fox charm earrings – with moving tails!
This beauty is named ‘Sky Blue and Black’ after a Jackson Browne song. I read a portion of the lyrics at my best friend’s funeral many years ago because we always sent lyrics to each other while I was in college. I miss her every day, but honoring her with a necklace once every so often gets me thinking about her and how much I loved and learned with her. This particular one is a Gunmetal and blue crystal druzy crystal cluster.
Let’s start at the end. Pictured above is Ramona Falls. It worked out to be an 8 mile hike today. As you can see, the payoff was worth the work. The view, the woods, and the mist cleared my head after a relatively busy work week.
This glorious beauty above is labradorite. The extra flashy cabochon is set with sterling silver on a shimmering sterling rope chain. Get it Here.
For the first time in my life I am working on things that will pay off 2,3,4,5 months down the line. That said, this week had me busting my butt to make painted pet portraits for the first luxury pet shop to carry my line, FOR PAWS In Portland, Oregon. I also worked on some Star Wars themed pieces that will hang for a May the 4th… event, but you can get first dibs on these two right now!
The Rebel Leia / 8×8″ acrylic on wood, $60
My very favorite Star Wars character, “Ahsoka Tano” acrylic on board, framed / 8×10″ $75
If you don’t find yourself in Portland and are unable to snag some of my popular pet earrings at For Paws, never fear! You can commission me to make your very own!
In addition to the Star Wars pieces I also made 3 science fiction themed pieces for another group show including Lovely Faye Valentine above!
All of these creations and more kept me quite busy all week, but don’t expect a slow-down. I have 3 more shows in May to prepare for as well as a whole lot of jewelry to create so that my site stays fresh! Stay tuned! And feel free to shout out any and all special requests you might have. I try to accommodate everyone.
A glimpse into my week shows you waterfalls and swimming holes, gay fun with toys (green lantern John Stewart and MOTUC Clamp Champ), yellow apatite, Star Wars necklaces (Darth Vader and C3PO), green tourmaline, nautical goodness with pearl, pink coral and starfish, and even a handful of huckleberries.
This week was my first time picking huckleberries. Searching for them is a a ton of work and often times a bush will have just one or two tiny berries. It took hours to get just half a cup, but they are oh so delicious.
The Star Wars pieces are always a hit – both are bib necklaces with steampunk elements. Yellow apatite is my biggest seller on etsy as the stone is a bit harder to come by than it’s teal blue counterpart and each piece has a prism locked inside it. The green tourmaline is a favorite of mine as it combines emerald with olive, two of the very best shades of green. The stone dances around on vintage gold plated chain in the pair of earrings pictured here. I have already received beaucoup compliments on the nautical inspired pink coral and pearl bracelet – complete with starfish charm, so that one is sure to go quickly. A little black love in toy form here with a shirtless masters of the universe Clamp Champ and Green Lantern’s own John Stewart. They were photographed in the very same swimming hole where I am pictured and I’m not telling where that was as it is my secret spot, just for me.
All of the beauties pictured here are listed now on my etsy site, HERE Etsy Zachary Pryor – except for the huckleberries and the toys. Those are mine.
