Southern Socialite inspirations with the Real Housewives of Dallas

The Real Housewives of Dallas return tonight and I cannot wait! Mostly I want to see what craziness LeeAnne Locken gets up to. For a long time I have wanted to bring my wares to the Lone Star state in a big way. I have been featured in and around the Dallas area at boutiques and many of my online sales come from that region.  It might be that I love the statement necklace and the women there have absolutely no fear of making bold choices with their accessories.

In honor of tonight’s premiere and my popularity in the area I have paired one of my currently in stock statment pieces with each of the 6 women with featured roles on RHOD this year.

My favourite RHOD is Stephanie Hollman because she is hilarious, really sweet, and has a style that I love. I paired her with one of my more delicate statement pieces, the “Nautical Coco” filled with tanzanite, fresh water pearls, and aquamarine. Get Nautical Coco.

I also really like Cary Deuber and her look. She borders on having a rock n’ roll edge to her style at times and I think she would look great in this draping gothic cross piece. Get Rock N’ Roll Heart here.

Brandi Redmond gives me laughs as well and I really love her friendship with Stephanie. I hope they remain close this year even with all the drama and screaming around them. I paired Brandi with my classic eagle bib statement necklace because she SEEMS the most Texas to me. I MEAN former Cowboy cheerleader and all that attitude. Love it. Get the Eagle bib here

LeeAnne Locken gets the most screen time I think. She gets moved to rage quite often and tends to act out when she feels she is being judged or not heard. I have dealt with this myself, but had the good fortune of not being filmed while going through that difficult growth. In any case, her brand of crazy is the real reason many people watch the Real Housewives so I’m not sure what the show would be without her. And it’s not like she’s anywhere near as evil as Phaedra. Rest in peace girl. I paired LeeAnne with the Vampire Killer. I have been making these bold cross and miraculous medallion charm necklaces for many years and I think LeeAnne has the bold style and Christian pride to pull it off in the best way. Get the Vampire Killer here.

I saw newcomer Kameron Westcott wearing teal and black in a few style shots floating around online and felt this Sky Blue and Black bib charm necklace would work great for her. I’m excited to see what she’s all about. You can get yours here.

I feel for the other newcomer D’Andra Simmons already as she is friends with both LeeAnne AND Cary and is sure to be in the middle of some nastiness as the outspoken women get their rage on. I paired her with some divine light in the form of my holographic crystal bib. Get yours here.

Have fun watching tonight and give Zachary Pryor’s jewels a look during the commercial break!

Solar Quartz is a natural agatized quartz that is sliced from stalactites in clear, white or gray, with mossy inclusions. As with all quartz it is an energy enhancer, connecting to spirit and harmony.
Solar Quartz is said to bring emotional strength and uplifting with great power and energy.
The stone at the center is a gorgeous blue solar quartz set with sterling overlay. Natural and color treated faceted aquamarine rounds are wire wrapped with small sterling chain accents. This piece fastens in the front with a gorgeous vintage sterling toggle clasp. The necklace measures 17 inches in length.

Fun Fandom necklaces! – oxidized brass Loki necklace and Rhinestone R2D2 chain bib necklace. Geeky heart, stylish body.

To honor a beloved animal – they are coy, they are sly, cunning, they are adorable. And now they shine bright like a diamond. Emerald and White rhinestone gold fox charm earrings – with moving tails!

This beauty is named ‘Sky Blue and Black’ after a Jackson Browne song. I read a portion of the lyrics at my best friend’s funeral many years ago because we always sent lyrics to each other while I was in college. I miss her every day, but honoring her with a necklace once every so often gets me thinking about her and how much I loved and learned with her. This particular one is a Gunmetal and blue crystal druzy crystal cluster.

My earliest Muse, the Masters of the Universe and the Great Rebellion

The moment I discovered He-Man and the Masters of the Universe I was hooked. The world and characters were like nothing I had ever seen and it had my synapses firing at full speed.  She-Ra came along soon after and I could really identify with this woman who was way more bad ass than Barbie. She seemed more like the fighting spirit I could see inside my own momma and grandmother. The world of He-Man and She-Ra led me to comic books and the heroes of Marvel and DC and thus, my art style was born.

My latest painting was inspired by He-Man’s most trusted companion Cringer and the internet sensation lolcats. I CAN HAS A POWER Is available now

I sketched these characters day and night for many years, I begged for the toys, I rushed home after school to watch the cartoons and now they are still a huge part of my world.

My “No Fat Chicks” Skeletor is new, updated and now listed! A chubby Sorceress makes an appearance on his graphic tee.

Fisto, She-Ra, King Grayskull and King Randor dressed in their finest Viking garb and joined me on a recent trip to Latourell Falls. (fisto was and still is my favorite figure in the original and new toy line)

Just a few years ago Mattel and the Four Horsemen began releasing a re-vamped line of He-Man and She-Ra figures and they are stunning. I have quite a few of them and they often come with me on my hikes for photoshoots. Most of these make it to the Zachary Pryor Instagram page.

These simple, striking beauties remind me of something She-Ra would wear, so I named them ADORA VS DESPARA Despara was the name Hordak have She-Ra when she was his pawn.

Twinsies at Ponytail Falls He-Man and Faker

I don’t quite play with the action figures, but I do travel and hike with them and just that act reminds me of the cherished memories I created with the original line of figures on the banks of the Aroostook river in Northern Maine.

A statement necklace worthy of the ladies in the Great Rebellion! The eagle bib with Egytian influences is ready for you!

The He-Man and Skeletor graphic Tee diptych is also in my Etsy shop.
